Juliana and Calvin both go to Ouachita Baptist University and live in Little Rock. It’s been a while since they decided to book me to shoot their Little Rock wedding, and a while since we went out and took engagement pictures for round one. Round two was a few weeks later, both of which gave some killer pics. Their wedding is in October at Rock Creek and promises to be a super fun day. Until then, here’s a mega-post of a handful of their engagement pics.

The Curbow family and I have gone back for quite some time. If you were to ask a member of the Curbow family about me, they would probably reply with some form or fashion of “Clumsy.” For better or worse, I’ve always managed to trip, spill, break, or mess up plenty of things, but they still love me. Whether they like it or not. Ha Ha, BUT, the Curbows are an incredible family that I’ve been honored to know for quite some time.

A few months back, someone told me I should shoot Kristy’s wedding, and that same day, another Mississippi friend mentioned that they knew a guy named Josh whose wedding I should shoot. As it would turn out, both the suggestions were for the same wedding! Josh and Kristy were in town this weekend to hang out with Brandon Barnard and his family, and were able to work in some time for an engagement session. I’m so excited for their wedding in Mississippi in August! But until then, here’s some of their engagement pictures!

I was so happy that Josh and Kristy were able to work their schedules and make the trek to come hang out with the Barnard family and get their engagement session done. It was fast and furious, but here’s a quick teaser just to wet your apetite a little bit. More on the back story when I post the rest.

As always: enjoy. comment. share.

I can’t honestly remember the first time I met Jeff, but over time, he’s become one of the best friends I have! We’ve had several classes together, and live about 15 feet away from one another. We’re both proud members of the 4th floor, as well as TEAM FEAR! For as long as I’ve known Jeff, he’s been with Emily. Every so often, I’d tease him about when he was going to “pop the question,” but not as often as other people did! But a short while ago, I was talking with him and said, “Ok dude, are you going to let me be your photographer?” A whirlwind later and after trying to keep a secret and withhold excitement, Jeff and Emily got engaged!

Then, we got to go hang out for an afternoon and take some pictures! I could talk and talk forever, but instead, here are some pictures! Hope you enjoy!!!

Here’s a quick teaser from my engagement session with Jeff and Emily. I’ll include the story with the full post, so you’ll have to check back, but here’s a few quick shots from their session!

Mallory contacted me out of the blue late last year about maybe shooting their wedding! I was really excited, but quite confused. I had no idea how I knew her, but the world is growing more and more small every day. A friend of hers knew Drew (a photographer friend of mine), who was booked that day, who recommended me! That’s my understanding at least. So, thank you Drew, because Brian and Mallory are awesome.

I didn’t quite know what to expect when I drove up to Jonesboro for the engagement session, except “look for the toaster on wheels.” At first I thought she was joking…but she wasn’t. A little Scion Toasterish vehicle pulled up, and the roller coaster took off. The entire shoot, I hardly had to do any posing, it just came natural to them. Their wedding is June 5, 2010, and I cannot wait to be a part of that as well. Luckily, Mallory called when she did. That next week, I had 4 emails and a phone call about June 5, and several others since. However, June 5 I’ll be in Forrest City with these two, and here’s some of the shots from the engagement session.

Look. Enjoy. Comment. Share.

Jessie and Dan are two of my good friends from high school! It was a blast to drive around, catch up, and take some pictures! They started dating when we were in high school, went to separate schools, and will soon be married! A fun couple to say the very least. Here’s a handful of their photos.

2009 has but hours left. I look forward to ringing in the new year, and looking back on this one. As I look back and see everything God has allowed me to be a part of this year, it’s been amazing. God has been gracious and generous in everything. I’ve been very blessed to be allowed to do the two things I want to do with the rest of my life: photography and speaking to students, from junior high to college.

To have the nostalgiac look back, here is a handful of my favorite images from 2009. Not in any order, not ranked, not an exclusive list, and not necessarily the top of said list, but here it is: some of my favorite images from 2009 (starting with a “memory box” of 2009).

2009 in a box

Charlotte
Charlotte and Blake were good friends of mine in high school. It was a lot of fun to be a part of capturing these images for them to have forever.

me
I didnt take this one, but used it in an illustration. Thats me. On my first day of kindergarten.

christmas tree
Christmas Tree at the Walker House. We always decorate it with the ornaments as a family. Mom did the rest of the master work.

ashley glover
Ashley is the little sister of one of my friends, Kristen. Word on the street is, Ashley outscored me on the ACT by a point, and is OBU bound. Congratulations Ashley!

Leighton
What a fun shoot, taking pictures of Leighton and her big brother, Gunner.

christian
Christian is one of my clients from Van Buren, and hopefully will be a friend at OBU. He’s a wrestler and has an amazing heart for the Lord. My first senior in Van Buren, and my rep there!

ramsi richey
That’s right Rambo. You made the post! Ramsi is kind of my screener for creative things. If I ever dont know if it looks good to someone besides me, Ramsi’s always willing to give me her honest opinion.

OGN
OGN in San Diego with FSM. On our free day, we just went to Coronado and enjoyed God’s creation. The water was frigid, which was why I was on the sand, not in the water. Ha, a student saw this as I chimped the screen, and told me it was terrible. In my opinion, its one of my favorites!

Hayden
Hayden was my first senior of the year. He was the one that said, “I thought I’d get some weird old lady or a creepy old guy. You’re pretty cool.” Thanks Hayden…

the toss
What a FUN wedding!! It was awesome to get to go with Stephen and Caitlin from engagement pics all the way through the I Do’s! GREAT couple and fun shoots.

water
When my friend, Drew Cason, said, “hey…you want to come shoot a bride in a river?” How could I say no?!

grass
On a road trip with the fam, they let me bring my camera. I wandered off into a field about a half mile down from the gas station we were at!

December 27, 2009

Well, as promised, I’m trying to be a little bit more regular with the posts. I’m working on catching up, and as we speak, I’m setting up a wordpress blog! BUT, here’s a little teaser of a shoot I did last week.

Dan and Jessie were two of my favorite people when I was a part of the FSM Benton Youth group. Dan was a guy I always looked up to, being a year older than me and one of the most talented guys I know! When they talked to me about doing an engagement session with them, I knew I had to do whatever it took to be able to take advantage of that opportunity! Definitely a fun couple. So here’s a teaser from their shoot! And as always, click it for a bigger view!
